Join with the Jeremiah project

Refugio Jeremías (The Jeremiah Project) is striving to meet the needs of children in extreme poverty who live in and around Antigua, Guatemala. Refugio Jeremías provides a lunch meal every day for the children and also teaches the children life skills. The lunch program not only provides a daily need, but also creates something consistent and solid that the children can count on. This consistency also requires the children to develop skills such as discipline, respect, and responsibility.

"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you,

plans to give you a hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11

Goals of the Jeremiah Project

Extend Global gives you the opportunity to serve along side the Jeremiah Project. We will spend time loving on children as well as encouraging them with the Hope of Christ. Through this project, we will be able to not only provide a great meal, education, and encouragement, but we will also help to provide a future for the children.

The project allows children the opportunity to not only receive help, but to also help themselves and their families by receiving an education and opening themselves up to help from the various organizations in Guatemala.

  • Feed

Provide a well balanced healthy meal for each child. Many of these children will only have one meal each day and that will come at the project.

  • Love

Provide an environment of safety and love to each child. The goal is to befriend each and every child, and to create a lasting relationship with both the child and their families.

  • Teach

Teach each child life skills that will help them to create a better future for themselves. Skills such as discipline, respect, and responsibility.

  • Provide

Provide each student with the opportunity to learn. There is an educational curriculum for reading, writing, arithmetic, and the Bible.

"for I know the plans I have for you, says the lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11

What will you do?

Each team will be able to serve the children and the staff at the Jeremiah Project by loving them. Everyday, with all we are, we will serve each child and family. We will serve by providing for their needs, as well as showing them the Hope we have in Christ. We will complete service projects for families and for the project, as well as help in all areas of the project. We will share the Love of Christ with each child showing that they have been chosen by God.

"Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.'”

Mark 10:27
